(2010-05-23) Farewell to Andrew

Andrew Lauricella, a seminarian from Christ the King Seminary, has been on a learning assignment about parish life at 14 Holy Helpers.  Over the past year, Andrew jumped in head first into the life of our Parish.  Through religious services, fund raising events, social celebrations, parish ministries, Mission, BINGO, and on and on …  Andrew became a beloved member of our community.  Sadly, his assignment has come to an end.  Andrew will now move on to continue his seminary studies.  We pray for his success and hope to someday see his name in the priestly ordination rolls of the Diocese.

On  Sunday, May 23, 2010 after the Noon Mass, the Mission Team and RCIA hosted a reception in his honor.  We have a few pictures from that event.  To see the larger picture just click on the smaller thumbnail shot.

Andrew expressed the following thoughts:

Dear Parishioners & Friends,

I cannot  begin to say how much my year with you has meant for me. I have done a great deal, learned a great deal, and grown a great deal. Please know that this was all possible because of your warm welcome, your support, and your friendship. Fourteen Holy Helpers Parish exemplifies the Family of God in many ways, and it was truly my privilege to be a part of it. Now that I must move on, know that your support, love and prayers will remain with me throughout my entire journey, as well as my fond memories.

I do hope to remain in touch with you , so please feel free to drop me a line anytime at alauricella@cks.edu

God Bless,

Andrew Lauricella

FYI … don’t be surprised if you see Andrew around the parish this summer.  While his assignment at 14 Holy Helpers has ended, Andrew will be starting some ministry in Lackawanna this summer.  He will reside with us during that time.
