OKTOBERFEST 2011 Come to a Fall dance featuring the “Auslanders”! German style food and drinks will be available for purchase. An Admission Ticket costs only $5 pre-sale, $8 at the door. ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS 2011-2012 The Home School Association is selling Entertainment Books. The price of the book will be $30.00 which is matched by the worth of gift cards inside the front cover. WOW! What a great deal!
Books will be available starting September 26, 2011 and can be purchased in the rectory during their normal business

Msgr. Bugman Msgr. John Bugman (former pastor of 14 Holy Helpers), formerly living at Our Lady of Victory, is now at St. Elizabeth Home in Lancaster, which will become his new permanent home. He, his doctors, and his family made this decision based on the kind of care he needs. The Lancaster location puts him near relatives and friends. We know he would appreciate hearing from you by way of a card or note. In a few weeks he will be ready to receive visitors, but, in the meantime, drop him a note or a card and wish him well. His new address is:

MISSION 2011 MISSION will be returning to 14 Holy Helpers in 2011. It will be held Sunday, March 27 through Saturday, April 2nd each evening … Save the Dates! Everyone is invited.

CHRISTMAS EVE MASS This year Christmas Eve Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 p.m. instead of 12:00 midnight. Based on feedback from parishioners we are trying this change in time for this year. Depending on the reception it receives we will make a decision whether to continue this time in the future.
Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God Saturday January 1st, although not a holy day of obligation, is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. A Vigil Mass will be offered on Friday, December 31st, at 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, January 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Vegas Nite 2010
Feeling lucky? Everyone will be a winner at the 14 Holy Helpers Las Vegas Night on November 27 in Ebner Hall. Games, drinks, and the fantastic sound of “Civiletto Sings Sinatra” performing the songs of Frank Sinatra. All are welcome … plan on attending. Free Admission. Details on the Las Vegas Night page.
Fr. David Billittiere is our New Pastor
Fr. David Billittiere has joined our community as the new pastor of 14 Holy Helpers Parish. He celebrated Masses over the weekend of November 6 & 7 and joined our Volunteer Dinner celebration on Saturday. Additional details on Fr. David Billittiere.
50th Annual Christmas Bazaar Celebrate our Golden Anniversary Christmas Bazaar with us at 14 Holy Helpers on November 14 in Ebner Hall! Chicken Dinners, Candy, Grocery Bags, Toys, Crafts … food, fun and prizes for everyone’s taste. Details on the Sodality page.
Wine Tasting Dinner Spend a night out with your friends and fellow parishioners. Enjoy a
variety of wines paired with the courses of a gourmet meal. Treat your

Volunteer Recognition Dinner The Volunteer Recognition Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 6:00 p.m. in Ebner Hall. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.. There will be live music from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Please call the Rectory office by Friday, October 29th to reserve your seats.
Living Rosary On Wednesday, October 6th at 7 p.m., the “Living Rosary” will be presented by the children of our parish. Join us for this prayerful service to honor Mary.
Steak Dinner All men of the parish are invited to attend a steak dinner and social to celebrate the opening Holy Name Society meeting of the season. The dinner includes a grilled steak and sides, dessert, and refreshments for a cost of $10 to help defray costs. RSVP by September 5, reservation forms can be found at the Church entrances. Raffle for a New Car 2010 The excitement and anticipation of winning a new car is coming back to Fourteen Holy Helpers. Last year we raffled away a new SUV, this year it will be a 2010 Dodge Avenger sedan. Taste of 14 Fanstastic Food … Activities for Kids … Music … Socialize with neighbors and fellow parishioners … Someone will win a NEW 2010 CAR!!! All at our annual Taste of 14 coming in the afternoon of August 15, 2010 outside Ebner Hall. Mark it down on your calendar and we’ll see you there.
We are looking for donations of 2 liter bottles of pop (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7-UP, Diet 7-UP) bottled water and bags of ice for the “Taste of 14.” Please bring donations to the School Parking lot after the 10:30 mass on August 15th.
Help Wanted We need people for the following positions:
1. Sharing Committee Director — Responsibilities of the position include interviewing applicants seeking to sign up for the food pantry, maintaining required records, and assigning clients to Sharing Committee volunteers. “I’d like to thank all parishioners for your concern and prayers as I continue to recover from my bicycle accident injuries. It is good to be back at work even on a reduced schedule. This week I began physical therapy, which if successful, may enable me to avoid future surgery. Special thanks to Fr. Joe, the staff, the choir, and to Paul Weisenburger & the Angels for their help.”

Bereavement Ministry We are expanding our team of parishioners who help grieving people and families planning a funeral. If you can spare an occasional hour now and again and would like to be a part of this important ministry, please call the rectory (674-2374).
